A monograph dedicated to the French graphic designer Frédéric Teschner (1972-2016).

Whether dealing with the visual arts, music, or theater, Teschner’s approach relied on graphic communication as a vehicle for the values of public service. He always strived to create a visual context for a dialogue between ordinary people and cultural activities in the public sphere. Teschner saw graphic designers as interlocutors between design and its audience.

In order to understand his work and his approach, people who collaborated or assisted Teschner during his career were commissioned to write thirteen texts. To highlight his concern for printing techniques, a 1-scale-printed sample, using blue-back poster paper, is inserted at the end of each book, making every copy unique.

This volume is a comprehensive overview and tribute, which also includes a large portfolio of Teschner's work and detailed chronological biography. With original photographs by Morgane Le Gall.
